No alcohol, no parties, no vomitting. This 27th birthday, I am surrounded with just pure joy. Each birthday, I would have a quiet moment with myself, to dig deep within and to reflect on the past year. When I repeated this yearly ritual this year, I discovered that I’ve finally found real happiness and peace within me.
Thanks to all my wonderful friends who made time for me amidst your busy schedules.
Special thanks to my SK, for painstakingly coordinating the surprises (and having to tahan my black color face) and for the meaningful handmade gift. You make me feel so very very blessed.

In a matter of hours, I will be gulping down Bintang and sunbathing on the deck chair by the pool in a private 4 bedroom villa in Bali with my closest friends and my man.
Yes, I am going to Bali again.. Totally L.O.V.E that place.
Be back a week later. Tada.

oh no, it’s been over 1 month since my last update! Time is really not on my side these days.. but it’s all for a good cause.
In this past month, I’ve experienced the trials and tribulations of life, sinking to the very bottom and then regaining comfortable altitude. Things didnt go very well for most of Jan & Feb, kudos to the collapsing economy and ghosts from the past back to haunt me.
then March came about with me throwing singlehood out the window. Yes, finally after years of being solo, I am in a real relationship. A real relationship, nothing dramatic, no mind games, just me and the new man (we’ll give him an alias sometime soon) being together and going paktor everyday. In fact we’re paktor-ing so much that I haven’t had time to check emails.
As we try to get more domesticated in the next few weeks, this blog will have see more regular updates. As for now, I try to figure out what to pack for my upcoming Bali trip.
and oh, I totally love “We-ing” us.

I really oughta start writing food entries before Foodbuzz “kicks” me out!
It’s been quite a rough rocky patch for the past month but as the saying goes “tough times don’t last, tough people do!” but of course not without having close friends around to give me the listening ear & encouraging words, followed by a few tight slaps.. omg these crazy people keep me sane!
So stay tuned, as I start eating & bring you the drools.

when I was young, my parents made it a point to bring us out every Sunday. My dad would take us in his taxi, and we would go have lunch, and shop at Parkway Parade. The frequency of these Sundays lessened as I went into teenage-hood, when I preferred hanging out with my friends. As I became a young adult, I could never get up early enough on Sundays because Saturdays are often spent partying. Either that, or I’ll be nursing a bad hangover.
Today, we spent a really nice Sunday together to celebrate mummy’s birthday. Today, I am reminded of all the memories of my Sundays spent at Parkway Parade as a kid with my parents. I was overcome by the feeling of nostalgia. The only difference is that now, I ferry my parents around in my car, and I buy them lunch. I could see how happy they were. And I feel really happy to see them this happy.
Those who know abt my rship with my dad over the past few months will know how much today means to me.
